However, the government has postponed implementation of the law for the next two years. It was originally supposed to take effect on April 1, 2021, but the lack of implementation has raised concerns among key stakeholders and the corporate sector. In the meantime, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has published industry-wise wage norms on its website.
